Usually open 2nd and 4th Sunday each month (see Museum Calendar for all dates of opening).

10:00 to 16:00 (10 am to 4 pm)

Train times:

10:30, 11:30, 12:30, 13:30, 14:30 and 15:15

Single visit

Includes — Museum Admission and unlimited rides:

Adults: $18

Concession: $15 ** 

Companion Card holder support person: Complimentary entry **

Children (aged 4-17 incl): $12

Infants (under 4): FREE

Family: $55 (includes: 2 Adults & 2 Children)

** Holders of Student card (students over 17), Senior's card, Pensioner concession or Companion card. Card must be shown on request otherwise adult price will apply.

Annual pass

Adults: $45

Concession: $37.50 **

Children (aged 4-17 incl): $30

Infants (under 4): FREE

Family: $137.50 (includes: 2 Adults & 2 Children)

Group visits

Mid Week Visits and Special Openings outside our usual open days can be arranged. 

Advance notice of at least 4-6 weeks is required to allow Museum volunteer resources to be available. 

Prices available upon application. Surcharges may apply.

Online ticket sales

Book in advance in order to secure your preferred ride time. Be sure to arrive 30 minutes before your historic train ride in the Valley Heights depot area. 

Online ticket sales close 19:00 the night before the open day. Tickets may be available at the door subject to demand.
