Valley Heights Steam Tramway receives 2022 Transport Heritage Grant

Ten transport heritage sector organisations across NSW have been announced as recipients of this year’s Transport Heritage Grants Program.
Transport Heritage NSW Chair, The Hon. Nathan Rees, and NSW Minster for Transport, David Elliott MP, presented the grants at a special ceremony at the Australian National Maritime Museum – the first in-person ceremony in three years.
Craig Connelly, the chair of the Steam Tram and Railway Preservation Society which runs the Valley Heights Steam Tramway attended the ceremony and received a grant of $16,500 to rebuild the saddle water tank for locomotive 1022 which was damaged in the Parramatta Park fire almost 30 years ago.
